HOW A ROVER BECOMES AN ULTRA LUXURY SAFARI TENT

Bushtops Camps conceived, designed and created the ‘box with wheels’ format, introducing something genuinely innovative to African safaris, and indeed the world.

Having been towed to its location, each Rover ‘folds out’ to present a fully-functional ultra-luxury tent, a king-size bed (or up to three singles), a hot tub, flushing toilet and 100 square metre deck. A team of six can convert the Rover module into a fully-functioning luxury tent in just a few hours.

Hi-tech lightweight solar panels (derived from yacht technology) provide constant power for lighting, hair-driers, a mini fridge and recharging devices (we use a backup generator in the highly unlikely case of there being no sunshine). Fresh water is stored in pressurised aluminium tanks and heated using a solar heat exchanger.
