With the launch of Singita Private, six of its exclusive use safari properties across Tanzania, South Africa and Zimbabwe are now under one umbrella to offer guests the ultimate villa and tented camp safari experience.

Singita Private offers an opportunity for families and groups alike to physically reconnect and enjoy the pleasure of being in each other’s company. Each of the six private-use properties offer travellers a secluded safari experience far from the bustle of the main lodge in Singita’s private concessions, and provide guests with their own base from which they can explore the surrounding landscape.

More than just being ideally located, the Singita Private properties ensure that every aspect of a guest’s stay is carefully considered. Interiors are extra spacious to comfortably accommodate larger groups and are individually decorated to combine comfort and functionality. Exteriors follow a similar design ethos and branch out into the wild surrounds, offering unobstructed views of unspoilt Africa. Each property comes with its own staff that are ready to help guests create their own personalised safari experience. Guests have access to a dedicated host throughout their stay ensuring that every need is met. This is especially essential for multi-generational groups, where older and younger travellers often have different ideas of how to spend their holiday. TANZANIA

Singita Serengeti House, Singita Grumeti

Located on the majestic slopes of Sasakwa Hill in the 350 000 acre Grumeti Reserve in Tanzania, Serengeti House is an exclusive-use retreat that is perfect for a safari getaway with family or friends. With two suites in the main house and two additional suites at the sides of the house, the property can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests and offers ample indoor and outdoor lounging with breathtaking views of the near-by watering hole and visiting wildlife. It also features a large swimming pool to help guests escape the African heat and its own private tennis court. Interiors echo the colours of the surrounding plains and combine European country pieces with a distinct African flavour.

Singita Explore, Singita Grumeti

Few places are as impressive as the Serengeti and it’s on these magical plains that guests find themselves when visiting Singita Explore. With nature as the hero, this private-use tented camp is pitched in the pathway of wildlife that habitats the area and witness the annual migration.  The camp sleeps a maximum of 12 guests and delivers an unfiltered, yet luxurious safari experience packed with all the creature comforts. Guests are in complete control with a camp host, chef, camp staff and a private guide at their disposal, allowing them to arrange activities on a whim.

SOUTH AFRICA

Singita Lebombo Villa, Singita Kruger National Park

Bold and dramatic, the newly reimagined Singita Lebombo Villa re-launched in 2016 with beautifully combined steel, wood and organic interiors with large glass windows for picturesque views of the Kruger National Park’s N’wanetsi River. The villa has an expansive wooden deck that floats above the trees and leads back inside to contemporary interiors bursting with African-inspired pieces. Here, guests will spend their nights in 4 luxurious suites, accommodating a maximum of 8 guests, and can while away the hot days around three private pools, as well as the lodge’s main pool. Singita’s recent collaboration with chef Liam Tomlin, from the award-winning Chef’s Warehouse in Cape Town, brings freshness, modernity and global flavours to the dining experience. Through this, Singita has pioneered the first time a safari lodge has worked with such a headline chef.

Singita Castleton, Singita Sabi Sand

As the former family home of Singita founder, Luke Bailes’ grandfather, Singita Castleton is steeped in history and can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 12 guests. Resting on 45,000 acres of private reserve, the main house comes with a vast garden and swimming pool, and features a traditional ‘boma’ area where guests can eye the near-by watering hole and recount their day. Guests will also have access to their own private Land Rover with experienced field guide and tracker, a fully-equipped gym, tennis court and a treatment room where pampering is always on the menu. Singita Castleton also treats visitors to their own house manager and housekeeper, and encourages them to join the private chef in the large farm-style kitchen as they prepare an array of mouth-watering dishes.

Singita Ebony Villa, Singita Sabi Sand

This is where it all began. Singita Ebony Villa launched in 2015 and formed part of Singita’s first lodge and finds itself tucked away amongst enormous trees along the banks of the Sand River in Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, South Africa. The villa elegantly combines tented camp and traditional bush lodge aesthetics for spaces that dazzle with well-polished ebony and mahogany woods, natural fibres in cool tones, traditional khaki and beige tent canvas, and exposed thatch. The villa is comprised of two family suites which are connected by a private lounge, swimming pool and deck area, and comes with enough room for 6 adults. Guests will also have access to a private guide and vehicle, chef, host and banakeli (personal waiter) for a truly personalised experience.

ZIMBABWE

Singita Pamushana Villa, Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve

Singita Pamushana Lodge overlooks a lake in the remote reaches of the Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve in Zimbabwe, comprising 150, 000 acres of pristine land. Nestled in this virtually untouched landscape, the 5-bedroom Pamushana Villa sleeps a maximum of 10 guests and stuns with thick walls, meticulous thatching and incredibly detailed stonework that is reminiscent of the ruins of Great Zimbabwe. From the lounge to the bedrooms, interiors are dressed in bold African prints and oversized furnishings that give the villa a royal feel. Outside, guests have access to their own private infinity pool, ancient baobab trees and the wisdom of thousands of years of Shangaan culture which is depicted in some of southern Africa’s most pristine rock art sites on the reserve.
